What's with the new blog?

The idea is to have a space where I can show my pictures to "the world" - my friends, family maybe, photographers, anyone who is interested.
And please comment, criticize, praise, hint...

You may wonder why not flickr, orkut, facebook or TrekLens, why does there have to be an extra blog .. well, there are reasons.

I will sometimes feel like adding text to the picture, technical details, inspiration, hints etc., so that crosses out flickr.

Orkut or facebook - you need to either have an account there or wait for a special invitation by mail for every new album, so that is not an option either.

And finally TrekLens - of course I will keep posting photos there because I like to receive and give comments and critique, because people there post wonderful inspiring pictures - or simply horrible ones, you have the whole spectrum, and I want to keep learning. But since some people have started seeing my pictures, I became kind of self-conscious about the pictures I upload. They have to be (in my opinion and for myself) as close to perfection as possible.

The "Kaleidoscope"-photos will still be as good as possible but without that self-inflicted pressure whether what I am going to upload will be worth posting.

How is it going to work? I have the ambitious goal to upload one picture per day. On the days where I didn't take any photos, I will post an older one. Today for example I'm going to start with one from yesterday's soap bubble session.

Oh and yes, the name of my new blog is borrowed from The Beatles' Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.
