4th January 2013: World Tour II: Bath

Bath is a lovely town in the Southwest of England, with a part Roman, part Celtic heritage. In the picture, you see a panorama of the so called 'Royal Crescent' - clearly a Roman relic at dusk.

3rd January 2013: Happiness

I often said I could never be unhappy by the sea and that proved to be true once more today in Brighton. Of course it helped that I saw some rays of sun after a series of grey days:

... or Castell Caerdydd, as they say it in Welsh.

Welsh is one of the old Celtic languages and even though at first, it looks like no other, you can observe simular words in a number of languages in countries that have apparently been influenced by the Celts.

1st January 2013: Happy New Year!

I wish all of you a wonderful 2013, may it begin with as much fun and surprise as mine but with considerably less pain ;-) - don't worry, nothing serious, just the result of a good 15 km march through the nocturnal London. In heels!

PS: Since I didn't take any proper fireworks photos this year, you're getting a Christmas ornament from Bath instead. They had different ones in every central street which helped with orientation quite a bit.

Micro-Wave

It is time for another time lapse movie and this is my shortest one ever. It's not a short movie, not a miniature one, no, it is a micro one. Made from 22 pictures that were taken this August at the North Sea in Belgium. I didn't use a tripod and consider the tilted horizon an expression of my artistic freedom:

World Tour Part I - Darmstadt

Monkey business reloaded

A monkey is just another human .. that's the impression I had the other day in my favourite zoo in Leipzig.

Ok, my birthday is not exactly today (25th September, please keep that in mind for next year ;-) ). Holier than thou

Having to drive 60km for (really not that special) goat milk's ice-cream if you don't even like sweets? That's something that can only happen to me.. But if you add some culture to the ice-cream trip, spiced with interesting photo motives, I'm reconciled with the idea.
